Rikki Kasso
This man has skills. If you go to his website:
http://tokyoundressed.blogspot.com/?zx=80914cfca1e6d186
watch yourself, there is a big ass amount of nude ladies, with their lady gardens out to air.
He is an freaky (muchos freaky) fresh photographer. Here are some that I wish I took. All this sharing of imagery has got me saving for my own camera, I would very much like to start recording what I see. Interested to find out if I have any photo skills myself.

Burk Uzzle Went To Woodstock, 40 Years Ago
It has been 40 years since the peace and love generation descended in a greater mass than ever imagined on Yasgur’s farm in upstate Bethel, New York. The original festival ballooned to way more folks than the sleepy towns of Middletown or Woodstock could accommodate, so Max Yasgur very generously gave his hillside over to the organizers in what would become surely the most celebrated festival of its kind. At its conclusion, Woodstock became recognized as one of the most significant events in the history of rock music, but its effect was even grander. In an America rife with racial tension and at war in Vietnam, Woodstock defined the culture of a generation, a message of hope for a brighter and more peaceful future.
Burk Uzzle took all of these photos.

Anybody Else Have To Punish Children For Being So Addicted To Reading They Start Telling You Lies, So They Can Go On Reading? Um, Thought Not
We love to read in my house, it is a big part of our lives. I am a librarian, my children understand and respect the dewey system. As all humans should. The eldest lied to me today, I asked her to do something for me, I even said she could finish the end of the chapter before she had to start. She treated me like a fool and lied.
Bloody children turning into pre teens is not my forte, I tell thee.
So, in my own words, I said this, once the shock of being lied to chilled a little:

Shall I Sell My Ossie Clark? Pt 2
I am in a quandary, keep the dress because I love it, and have intimate and fond memories of all occasions I have worn it, or sell it for double the price because some rich fool has been told by the magazines that they are aching to look like Emma Watson?
I posted about this dress at the very start of this blog, about keeping it or not.
Shall I sell it to fund my Japan trip? Or keep it for one of my girls?
Should I sell it now, whilst it is in the public eye, therefore getting silly money?
Plus the fact mine is actually better.

I have never seen a Harry Plopper film, why do they have yellow and red faces?

Surrealism, Fantastic Realism, Visonary Art, The World Of Abdul Mati Klarwien
Abdul Mati Klarwein was born in Germany, 1932 to a Jewish father and non Jewish mother. They fled to Palestine. When things kicked off there, they went to France. Some say he is a psychedelic painter, but there is more to him than that, "I painted psychedelically before I took psychedelics," he is claimed to have said. I believe him.
Having a rich lover helped him see the world, so he could paint it, they travelled to:
Paris, New York, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, India, Morocco, Niger, Haiti, Jamaica, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico, Bahamas, Kenya, Senegal, Gambia, Cuba and Guatemala.
Friends with Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Dali, Ernest Fuchs, amongst many other visonary's of the time... He lived the dream.

These pictures were taken inside the Aleph Sanctuary. The original Aleph Sanctuary was a portable 3 x 3 x 3 metre cubic temple made out of various metals and wood and panelled with 68 original paintings of various sizes. It was built between 1963 and 1970. That chapel was subsequently dismantled to remove the original paintings. The chapel was rebuilt in 1992 using aluminium diatrans and plexiglass panels lit by rows of fluorescent tubes.

Everything about the painting above is perfect. The scars above the eyebrows are precise, the lumpyness of them accurate, the colour of the skin due to the oil, the expression, the texture of the hair.
A magnificent album.http://www.matiklarweinart.com/#

Well Informed, Brave Or Stupid?
The much feared swine flu just hit my little ones school. How much of this is mass panic I wonder? Normal flu kills thousands every year, H1N1 has killed 400/500 so far. Most cases are mild.
I mean, I am perturbed by a new disease that we know little about, but then I am perturbed by the krypton factor aspect of life anyway.
Is the vaccine just a slow working lethal injection like some in conspiracy corner claim?
I find it odd that we are all being scared into taking the vaccine when the shelve life of tamiflu is just about to expire. They bought a shed load for the bird flu scare three years ago, tamiflu expiry date = 3 years.
This pandemic is going to make some very rich people in the world wide down turned economy...
I personally, am not freaking out. I will continue to feed my children really well, liquid vitamins every day, and bust out the echinacea.

Ophelia Complex

I like Ophelia, was she insane or a symbolic prophet? Did she die of a broken heart, or did she drown herself because of madness? Did Hamlet use her as a political pawn, or did he love her so much he saved her from himself?

Charity Shop Sparkles

The two pictures above were taken by Harold Davis.

Yayoi Kausma Installations, one of the best artists ever. Fact.
The Cosmic Egg By Andrew Logan. My friend was his apprentice a few years ago, she said it had many highs, and a few lows. I was lucky enough to be invited round there for a viewing of his jewellery,(may I add, not because I smooze with London glitterati, but because my mate worked for him) and his mate Zandra Rhodes clothes. (She was very nice to my daughter who could not stop staring at her bright pink hair and full on makeup) It was a really top experience for us, My daughter, who was about six at the time, loved it very much, because that is his house in the picture below. When we were there, he had a massive Pegasus in his living room, a young girls dream. The whole house was mad colours, sparkly and filled with plants. In some ways, perfect.
He had a huge glass roof that made the whole room almost reverberate with light.

I do washing every day, mainly other peoples pants and socks, ah the joys of motherhood...

Yinko Love

I just found out about Yinko. I found him through a blog called nothing elegant, which is well worth a look by the way.
I think I am a tiny bit in love with this man; his art is so very clever, witty, unpretentious, deep and beautiful to look at, and think about on many levels.Where to start? He is a Nigerian man, who spent a lot of time in England, and Nigeria.
Shonibare’s work explores issues of race and class through the media of painting, sculpture, photography and, most recently, film.
The aspect of his work I like the most is his use of fabrics. At first glance, they look like African prints, which led me to think he was just commenting on the destruction of African cultures by Europeans in their efforts to dominate the entire globe. There is that element to his work, but like dubstep MC’s are fond of telling us, it gets deeper.
The ‘African’ fabrics he uses are exported from Europe, and are based in Manchester, England and the Netherlands.

"They prove to have a crossbred cultural background quite of their own. And it’s the fallacy of that signification that I like. It’s the way I view culture—it’s an artificial construct."
This is shown again in his work Nelsons ship in a bottle.
Yinka Shonibare proposes to make a scale replica of Nelson’s ship, HMS Victory, in a giant glass bottle. The ship’s magnificent sails will be produced in richly coloured and patterned textiles, which Shonibare buys from Brixton market in London. They are assumed to be African but in fact the fabric was inspired by Indonesian batik design, mass produced by the Dutch and sold to the colonies in West Africa. By the 1960s the material was popularly assimilated in Africa and became symbolic of African identity and Independence. Shonibare says his piece will reflect the story of multiculturalism in London today, which began as a result of Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar: ‘For me it’s a celebration of London’s immense ethnic wealth, giving expression to and honouring the many cultures and ethnicities that are still breathing precious wind into the sails of the UK.’(http://www.london.gov.uk/fourthplinth/plinth/shonibare.jsp)

This one is called Scramble For Africa. I really enjoy the use of headless models, something he does a lot. It is a subtle yet effective way of making his point on cultural factors and power.

.... ........... .. .
My friend came round yesterday, and brought with her the genius idea of playing a word game where you remember songs with the word heart in the title, and then you change the word heart to anus. We were amused for hours, obviously because we are both super mature. I would like to share with you some of our endeavours.
Achy Breaky Anus -Billy Ray Cyrus
The Chorus of this song begs to be sung when heart is replaced by anus.
My Anus Will Go On -Celine Dion
Anus of Glass - Blondie
Groove is in the Anus - Deee-lite
Unbreak My Anus - Toni Braxton - A personal fav to sing.
Listen To Your Anus - Roxette
Total Eclipse of the Anus - Bonnie Tyler.
My friend's personal fav, she can really sing this one, I was crying with laughter. Try it, I defy you not to laugh.
Anus of Gold - Neil Young
Don't Go Breaking My Anus - Elton John & Kiki Dee
How Can You Mend A Broken Anus? - Bee Gees
Anusbreak Hotel - Elvis Presley
Sheer Anus Attack - Queen
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Anus Club Band - The Beatles
OK, 1 more, and I promise I will stop, you ready?
Open Your Anus - Madonna
Feel free to submit your own song title, what else could you be doing with your brain on the weekend?

Is Blood Thicker Than Water?
It is so humid & muggy here at present, into the third day, and I am even dreaming of water. And thunderstorms. It is what we need to clear the air. Also feels quite apt, as I would love to clear the air with my mother, no thunderstorm first though, just a gentle mist of melancholy and understanding of each others psyche. Doing it should be imperative really, seeing as there is a 29 year back log of shizzle to get through. What stops me? I often think about that, for as we all know, it can never be just the fault of one person; life is usually a play, not just a series of monologues. Sometimes it feels like I want to hold onto the righteous platform of somebody who was blown by the whims of others and a little battered from it, but essentially harmonious and humorous. Sometimes I think I want to protect her from her own failings because I have never doubted she loves me, and I have no desires to be Judge Judy. Maybe Tommy Grand from Cheaters, but not Judy.
My nearest and dearest give me illustrious golden nuggets on how to approach the rehabilitation on a deeper level, they turn the prism and explain in what ways the light shines through and reflects onto us both, so why do we find it so hard to communicate?
